Marketing Comparison: JMailerPro vs. PushButtonEmailer

I wanted to do a comparison on bulk emailers because in my opinion, it is one of the most cost effective ways to generate quality leads and it is a way for people brand new in a business to start generating their own leads fast and cheap.

Set up of a system usually costs about $100 or less and then after that you have the monthly hosting fee usually between $4.95 to $14.95, your annual domain renewal which is around $11.99, and then your cost of email leads which should never go above $.05 a lead in my opinion. I currently pay about a $.01 lead, less if I buy during a sale.

JMailerPro is an emailing system that I have been using for about a month now. It is a one time purchase of the software that costs $45 if you want to install yourself or $55 (which I reccomend) if you have them install it for you. After you purchase the software, you own it.

You do have to be careful, especially when your account is new, to not get blacklisted. To do this, you need to make sure that you start out slow so for the first week, it is recommended that you only send out to lists of 200 or less. Then the following week up it to 500 or less. By week three you can send out to lists of 1000 at a time.

As for emails you are allowed up to 360 an hour. Sounds great but the problem is, if you send out too many per hour then you will find yourself getting blacklisted. So for the first 2 weeks, send out 10 or less. Then once you are at a 1000, you can send up to 37 every 15 minutes.

Another draw back to JMailer is that because you are only sending out at the most 1000 at a time, you need to split your lists into groups of 1000. This may not be a big deal when you are dealing with lists of 5000 but when you are purchasing large lists of 10,000 or more, this gets very time consuming.

Also, you can only send out to one list at a time, and you have to wait for a list to be done before you upload and start sending to the next. JMailer is very simple to use but they have no way of tracking if people are opening your emails or clicking your links.

I was turned on to PushButtonEmailer by my lead vendor's blog. I have never been disappointed in his leads or his customer service so I decided to check out this mailer. In the 72 hours that I have been using it, I have had my socks knocked off.

PushButtonEmailer, or PBE for short, costs about $80 to get set up. Then it is $39.95 a month there after. For the results, it is worth every penny. Unlike JMailer, you can upload up to 100,000 contacts at a time and they will pace your send rate. Not only that, but from day one I was getting out 2500-5000 emails per day.

They have a global list scrubber that will scrub your list for you before you even upload your leads. Then when uploading a window pops up and it will only upload leads with valid email addresses and you can decide whether or not you want duplicates uploaded.

Setting up campaigns is very easy and once you upload your list it takes less than five minutes to get a campaign going and that is it. You don't need to log in everyday upload a new list and send them out. It will automatically go through until your list is finished.

It also gives you the tracking which I love. The tracking will show you how many of your emails were delivered, how many bounced, was it a soft or hard bounce and the reason behind it, who unsubscribed, who opened your email and who clicked the link(s) in your email. Plus you can extract those that opened your email and put them in their own list for follow up.

They have a spam checker so when you write your campaign you can see how deliverable it will be based on content, and they have a video email option so you can send them videos instead of just text.

In the three days I have been using PBE, I have to say that I have noticed a huge improvement in my response rate. Now like I said JMailer does not keep track of deliverability but when emails could not be delivered they would show up in my hosting email inbox. I sent the same email to the same 27,000 person list through both JMailer and PBE.

My list is almost half done in three days, as opposed to over a month with JMailer. With PBE it is on autopilot and I just log in to check stats and progress. I have noticed a 71% delivery rate with PBE as opposed to 27% with JMailer. I am also noticing a much lower bounce rate with PBE, only 29% as opposed to 73% with JMailer.

I am also getting almost 1% open rate, which may not seem like a lot, but consider this. Out of 27,000 email leads, 19,170 are opening my email. Out of those, 191 people are clicking through. Out of those, 95 people are opting in to my site and watching my presentation. 66 of those are now in my autoresponder getting my free ebooks every 3 days and a few of them will end up getting started, but around 28 people will be getting started with me in my business. While 28 people out of 27,000 may not seem like a lot, I make $1000 for each of those people. $28,000 seems like a pretty good week to me.

Now these numbers aren't exact, but they are pretty consistent. Out of the 66 people that have clicked through over the last 3 days, 9 of them have already gotten started and 4 more want to get started but have to talk it over with their spouse. JMailer only brought me 2 out of the whole 27,000.

PBE is user friendly, quick to get set up and running, and definitely got me a much better response then JMailer.

$100K 90 Day Challenge

In network marketing we have many sayings.

-You can do anything for 90 days.

-It takes 90 days to establish a new habit.

-It is better to go fast than slow.

-It is easier to go fast than slow.

I am sure you can think of many more. I first discovered network marketing back in 1998. My first company was a telecommunications company and it was my first lesson in learning the importance of picking the right company with the right products and the right compensation plan. I was only with that company for a few months but it was too late, I had caught the bug and never wanted to work for anyone else again.

Shortly after that I received a booklet in the mail that offered information on yet another MLM business. After doing my research I decided to join this almost 20 year old health and nutrition company. To every one's surprise, especially my family's, I had amazing success. The products were easy to retail because people got results on them. Their pay plan (for an MLM) was incredible paying out $.76 of every dollar to its distributors. My 6 years of actively working that business set me up for success and to this day I still receive my risidual check every month even though I have not actively worked my business in years.

Toward the end of 2004 I was introduced to a new idea (new to me) in network marketing. High ticket items with profits of hundreds and thousands. A chance to get paid 10 times as much for the same work. So I joined my third network marketing company and loved it. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond my control, the company imploded and I found myself not knowing what I wanted to do.

Then one day on Facebook I saw a couple of updates from people that I had worked with in my previous company. They seemed very excited about their products and company and I know they would not settle working for a company that did not have a very lucrative compensation plan. So once again I started to do some research. I quickly saw a place for me and joined Avant.

After 12 years in network marketing, I have no doubt that I could join any legitimate company and be successful in it. But that is not the average person. The average person has either never owned their own business or has never been successful in one. The average person has around $500-$2000 available for start up, not $25,000. They are not very good at lead generation and the leads they do generate usually cost them $6 or more per lead.

Whenever I have shown friends and family my business in the past, their excuses for not getting started are that they don't have the time, the money, or the experience that I have. So this time I decided that I wanted to run an experiment if you will. I wanted to join an amazing company with amazing products and an amazing income potential. I wanted to start at the bottom, where anyone can afford to start, put together a marketing plan that anyone can duplicate, and generate amazing results that anyone can have if they just plug in.

I am challenging myself to create $100,000 of income, over the next 90 days from the bottom. I am planning to post frequently, probably daily, updates to let you know what actions I took as well as any progress. Anyone that wants to also join in on this challenge is welcomed to, no matter your business, just make sure it is a business where $100,000 in 90 days is possible. So many times I hear people complain about their leads. If they are generating leads on their own they complain they are either not generating enough leads or that their cost per lead is too high. I have become very good at generating leads over the years but again, I want to be easy to duplicate so for the next 90 days, all my leads are going to be purchased leads or generated through email marketing (easy to copy and very cheap). I have purchased leads from national leads for years. They have an awesome variety of leads, great prices, and wonderful customer service.

I have also decided to invest in mlm Pro Burner, an amazing tool to help with calling a high volume of people which is the key to this 90 day challenge. It is basically free for the first month since it costs $149 but you get $149 of lead credit with National Leads. Another tool I would recommend to anyone in any kind of business where they speak to people is the Dani Johnson Script Book. My company does have a script that it recommends, but I have to be honest I prefer the scripts in this book along with the training CD. I have gotten more results from what I have learned in here than anything else.

I am laying out the dates and putting the final touches on my plan. Make sure you keep checking in on my progress. Let's see if I can prove the masses wrong.

I Challenge You

Have you ever had one of those days, when it seems like everyone you run into and everyone that calls you wants to complain?

Luckily I have the LLI community and a small group of friends that "get it". Those that don't I choose not to talk to. Hopefully at some time they will have some good news but until then they will continue to get my voicemail and I will continue to not return their emails.

Why? Because neither one of us will benefit from me listening to their whining. If they would actually listen to my response, they might benefit, but time has shown again and again that regardless of what I say, they will remain in "victim mode".

Which brings me to my topic. Our book in our book club the last couple of weeks has been T. Harv Eker's "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind". The first wealth file is "Rich people believe "I create my life". Poor people believe "life happens to me"."

So as I was deleting voicemails and emails of my "victim" friends and family, I decided to bring this up in the hopes that maybe some of them might read it and take a hint. The first hint being, GO BUY THIS BOOK AND READ IT!!!!

The lesson in this first wealth file, talks about the 3 clues to recognize being a victim. Blame, justification, and complaint. When you are doing any of these things you are NOT taking control of your life and situation. I think he puts it best in saying, "when you are complaining, you become a living, breathing CRAP MAGNET."

He issues a challenge which I think is great and I have used for quite some time now. He says to challenge yourself to not complain at all for seven days, not out loud, not in your head. The full seven days is important because the first few days you may have some "residual crap" left over.

He goes on to recommend that every time you do catch yourself being a victim by blaming, justifying, or complaining about something, take your index finger and slide it across your throat to remind yourself that you are "slitting your financial throat."

This simple activity can transform you from victim to victor and can dramatically change your life. I challenge all of you to do it. Especially if you want me to call you back!

Misery Loves Company

Yesterday I decided to go to the bar around the corner from my house to have a late lunch, early dinner. When I got there, there were only a handful of people at the bar. I have been going to this bar for about 8 years now so I know everyone that works there and I know a lot of the patrons. I sit down, say hi to those I know, order a drink and lunch and start reading my book.

My phone keeps lighting up and to my excitement they are leads popping up in my email. (I have a blackberry and get my email on my phone)

The guy across from me is reading the newspaper. The two guys sitting to my left are watching the soccer game on tv. The two guys on my right are talking, in very loud voices, about how bad things are and the economy, the usual negative talk.

I call the girl behind the bar over and ask her to do me a favor and buy a round for everyone on my tab. "Sure! No Problem! What are you celebrating?" she aks. "Nothing, just feel like buying everyone a drink." I answer.

Here is where it gets interesting. While she is getting the drinks, the guy next to me looks over at me and says, "Thanks for the drink. I notice your phone keeps going off, you must be popular."

"No, actually I have my own business and people are contacting me for more information." I say.

"Wow, your own business huh? With the economy the way it is, it must be tough." He says.

"Actually it is doing awesome thanks! Business is out of control."

He leans back away from me and gets this real nasty tone and attitude and says, "How is it that everyone else is losing their homes, big businesses are shutting their doors, people are getting laid off, and your business is doing well. You're telling me that everyone else is suffering and you are doing just fine?"

"Yes, I am thriving. The economy is not bad, it is just different (I quoted Brent from the visionaries call) and I know a lot of people that are doing far better than I am." I said back with a big smile on my face.

He stopped talking to me, (which was fine because I didn't want his negativity) and went on to bitch to his friend about me. He was mad at me for doing well, mad at me for being happy, and mad at me for not being a victim. Because I didn't see things from his point of view and because I wouldn't be part of his pitty party, he was actually hostile toward me.

You hear all the time at people being mad at someone because they are the downer or the party pooper but how do you like that? Being mad at someone because they are taking control and living their life full out.

And yes, I still bought him his beer. I was doing that for my benefit in the first place!

The Secrets of the Millionaire Mind

When reading last night, I came across a chapter in my current book, "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind" by T. Harv Eker, that inspired me to post a quick blog. I was very fortunate that when I started my business back in 1999, I was surrounded by mentors that already knew these lessons and taught them to me.

For those of you that were not so fortunate, I would highly recommend getting yourself a copy of this book. It is a quick read and the lessons are simple and easy to put into action.

The lesson struck home for me is, "Wealth File 10: Rich people are excellent receivers, Poor people are poor receivers."

I am one of those people that will bend over to pick up a penny, or a nickle and I get excited about it. I get just as excited when I win $5 on video poker as I do when I win $5000 at the craps table.

The point is I am grateful and open to receive any amount of money, big or small. Usually the people complaining about not receiving any money or not receiving enough money are poor.

It also talks about giving and receiving. They are two sides to the same coin. You can not have one without the other. I am sure you have heard the saying, "It is better to give than to receive." I think Eker puts it best, "What a crock!"

If all you do is give and never receive, then how can you continue to give? I know from personal experience, the more I give, the more I receive, and the more I receive the more I give, and it goes on and on in a big circle. When I stop doing one or the other, it puts a halt to the energy and the flow.

Some tips that Eker gives to become better receivers follow:

1 - Practice receiving. When someone gives you a compliment, say "thank you". Don't return the compliment, just receive it, accept it and be grateful for it.

2 - ANY money you find or receive should be enthusiastically celebrated. Scream out, "I'm a money magnet. Thank you, thank you, thank you!" This goes for any money that comes into your life, whether you find it on the ground, receive a paycheck, money you get as gifts, money you get from the government.

3- Pamper yourself at least once a month. Do something special to nurture yourself and your spirit. Get a massage, a manicure, a pedicure, take yourself to an extravagant lunch or dinner, rent a boat or a weekend cottage. Do things that will make you feel rich and deserving.

When you are putting out the energy of being wealthy, you attract wealth. When you put out the energy of being abundant you attract abundance.

Do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of T.Harv Eker's "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind" and put its lessons into use immediately. It is a quick and easy read and can have you on your way to wealth and freedom no matter what your current situation.

It's Been A While

Wow it has been a while since I have posted. Between moving, remodeling, adding dogs to the family, vacationing, and living an amazing life, I have not made the time to post to be honest.

I had an interesting conversation today and it sparked some things I have talked about previously.

Today was really my first day back working, if you call what I do work. I was talking to a man that had requested a call through my website, www.TsFIQ.com .

When I called him for a brief interview, I asked him if he was serious about starting a business of his own. He said yes, he had no money right now to start a business, but he wanted the information for "when he was ready".

I told him that I only spend time with serious people, and that in my experience when something is important enough to someone, a little thing like money won't stop them.

He was shocked and started telling me about a recent experience at the dentist. He had horrible pain in his teeth, and it was going to take $2000 to fix, and when he weighed the pain with the cost, it was more important to find the money to fix it.

So I asked him, how much pain his current situation was causing him? "How uncomfortable are you?" He said uncomfortable enough to do something about it.

I went on with the interview call, he told me about himself and I asked him, "If there were no limitations placed on you, what would your ideal income be?" He said $2K a month. I was shocked and asked him if that got him excited? He said $4k a month would get him excited, but that the economy was just awful right now and no one is buying anything, etc. etc.

I told him that this opportunity was not the right one for him and wished him luck. He came back at me angry and asked why it wasn't for him, and I told him that I only work with people who have a MINIMUM goal of $100K in the next 6-12 months. He again, said he watched the news and no one is buying anything, even big companies were shutting their doors.

I told him that I haven't watched the news in seven years and last week alone I received checks and credit card orders for over $15K. I gave him my website address and told him that when he was ready to take responsibility for his life and ready to make things happen, give me a call back.

Less than 2 hours later, he had placed an order for $1500, a $1000 profit for me, but more importantly he took his first step in living his life on his terms.

Don't let anyone or anything dictate your life or lifestyle to you. You create your reality. A friend of mine was saying just tonight that he doesn't look at the economy as good or bad, it is just different.

So stop using the "bad" economy as an excuse for not living up to your true potential. Take aciton, take responsibility, and make things happen!

Enjoy the Journey

Last night I was watching one of my favorite movies, "Dazed and Confused". I love this movie for so many reasons, from all the great cars in it, to the fact that at 16 my now husband and I watched this movie together at his house and I got grounded for coming home at 3am because of it.

Every time I watch it I notice something new. Well, last night, I am watching this awesome movie and a scene, that I have seen 100's of times struck a new chord with me.

3 of the characters, Mike, Tony, and Cynthia, are driving to a beer bust. They are talking about life and what is going to happen after they graduate high school. Tony brings up that he feels like this time of his life is preparation. Cynthia asks what they are preparing for, and Mike says death.

Here is where something sparked for me. Cynthia then says that if we are preparing for death, then shouldn't we be enjoying our lives now and enjoying the present now. AHA!

Stop being one of those people that goes through the motions to get to the next best thing. Enjoy the process, enjoy the journey and then when you get there relish the moment. Then continue your journey to the next destination.

Along the journey you will have several wins some small, some large, celebrate all of them! But if your whole life consists of arriving and never the journey, if you do arrive, is it going to be worth all the time and moments that you missed out on?

Motivate Yourself to Achieve Success

Napoleon Hill states, "The greatest reward success brings is self-satisfaction. True success is marked by the satisfaction of knowing you have done a job and done it well - that you have achieved the goal you set for yourself."

Think about something that you really wanted that you got. A car, a house, a watch, that new flat screen TV. When you got the money to purchase it, did the money excite you or was it the excitement of what the money was going to buy you.

So many people try and say that money drives them. In reality what drives us is what the money can do for us. I talk to people everyday that tell me that they are serious about creating a multiple six figure income from home.

I go through the qualifying questions to weed out the people that want from the people that do. When I ask someone how much they want to make in the next 12 months a lot of them say $100K. This used to be enough of a reason for me to put them on the business overview call. Then I would call them back to get them started and they would tell me that they see the opportunity but they just don't have the $2500 to get started.

It only took me a week or two to realize what I was doing wrong. In my years in business, I had always been trained to find out some one's why because that is what is going to motivate them. People, more often then not take action on emotion not logic. Who wouldn't want to make $100K in the first 6-12 months of business? That is not the real qualifying question. The qualifying question is, why do you want that $100K?

The businessman that tells me he wants $200K to quit his job, that is not good enough. I will tell him to call me back when he really has a burning desire. On the other hand, the single mom that wants to make $80K a year so that she can send her son to private school and quit her job to be home with him, that is a why.

Desire drives us, motivates us, gives us a reason not to quit when the going gets tough. I used to qualify people into my business solely based on their income goals. In reality, those who have strong whys will go further than those that just want a ton of money. Then on occasion I do get those that have a strong why and want a ton of money.

If you really want to achieve true success, dig down deep and find your burning desire, something that you wish to have in order to reach a greater goal you have set for yourself. Get passionately involved with your desire, picture having it, really experience the emotion of having it. Your desire needs to be something that is easier to live with than to live without.

Decide that no matter what, you will have it. Write down your desire and commit it to memory. When you reach an obstacle just take yourself back to how it will feel when you reach this goal, and you will find you brush aside obstacles that seemed insurmountable before.

Learn How to Live Your Own Life

No one can get rich living someone else's life or living the way someone else thinks they are capable. The only way to become rich, is to find your true joy and true love and live your own life.

People settle all of the time because they are brainwashed into thinking that they are doing the best they can and are incapable of doing any better. People give up their hopes and dreams because they are told they can't achieve them.

Here is a true example of this from my personal life. When I was 17, I told my grandmother that I would be a millionaire by the time I was 25. She told me that I was being silly and that my dream was too big.

Now she was not saying it to be mean, and my grandfather had made millions as an actor and comedian so she knew it was possible. She just did not think that I would find a way to do it short of getting back into acting which she knew I hated.

At 19 I started a business. In my trainings my mentor stressed setting goals, personal development, and the idea that ANYTHING is possible. My first year I brought home a 6 figure income. I almost tripled that my second year and before I reached 25, I was in fact a millionaire.

I love my grandmother dearly, and at this point we joke about this conversation we had back when I was 17. But every once in a while she will almost break down because she feels that she could have ruined my life by holding me back from my success.

The truth is that nothing can hold you back except you. Once you decide what it is in life that you want and that truly makes you happy. Once you start living the life that you know you can have, instead of living by societies rules and limitations. Once you stop settling for the minimum and start living a life without limits, you can achieve whatever you want.

No One Drifts To Success

"What is your one definite purpose in life and what plans have you made to attain it?"

This one simple question can tell you what some one's future is going to be. Out of 100 people, 98 of them will answer this question vaguely and unsure. The other 2 will have specific goals and desires, and exact road maps to attain them. Which group do you think is on the road to success? The 2 with the road map.

Success requires a decision, decide exactly what your goal is and lay out the steps you will take to reach it. Those who act with purpose and a plan attract opportunities.

If you don't know what you want, how can you attract it? If you don't know where you are going, how can you get there? Only with an unwavering definiteness of purpose, will you overcome adversity, keep going when things get difficult, and persevere when faced with hardship.

Make today the day you get on course. Decide upon a specific and definite goal and commit it to paper and memory. Decide exactly how you plan to achieve it. Then immediately begin to put your plan into action.

Book Review: "The Dynamic Laws Of Prosperity" by Catherine Ponder

This is quite possibly one of my favorite books of all time. When you look at it, it's a very plain looking cover, the title in big red letters and thick....430 pages thick. It is split into two parts, and the individual chapter titles such as "There's Gold Dust In The Air For You!", "The Vacuum Law Of Prosperity", or " Your Special Powers For Prosperity", excite you from the get go.

If you are not yet curious about this book let me also say that this book was written by a minister and is based on the Christian religion and lessons found in the bible, and still one of my favorites even though I have been a practicing Wiccan for 14 years now. So if a Pagan can sing the praises (no pun intended) of this book, that has to say something.

Now down to why I love it so much!

For one, even though it is very thick and does not have any pictures, it gives usable lessons that are simple to follow, easy to understand, and quick to get results. The stories of others that have used these methods are moving, and the way the book is set up, it appeals to people that learn from nuts and bolts, as well as people that learn from the experiences of others and learn from emotional lessons.

Many of the lessons in the book are probably things you have read in many other books, but Ponder elaborates on each subject in great detail and breaks it down in a way that is so straight forward and easy to put into action, that you can not help but get results. To me this book is a road map to prosperous thinking and prosperity.

Ponder uses passages from the bible and simple statements of command to attract whatever it is you want. The law of attraction put into a step by step plan.

The sections of this book that made the biggest difference in my life were actually things that most people don't group with money and prosperity. Ponder puts it best by stating that prosperity is more than just wealth, it is also, happiness, health, love, and peace of mind. Basically true prosperity is over all balance, and if one area is out of balance everything is out of balance.

I have had great results financially in my life but there are definitely areas that I let slide and now looking back, I realize how true her thinking is. For example, a big issue for me was holding grudges and not forgiving people that had wronged me.

I had always looked at people that had hurt me or been unfair to me in such a bad way. Talking about what they had done to me, speaking ill of them, wishing ill on them. Until reading this book and really thinking about it, I never realized how much dwelling on negative people was affecting me. Essentially, they were hurting me after the fact because I would not let it go.

After reading the chapter on "The Prosperity Law Of Love And Good Will", I started to assess the biggest areas of trouble in my life, all of which I could track back to people that had in some way been unfair or cruel to me. I still held grudges and decided immediately to start putting into action the lessons in this chapter to let go of this negative energy.

I used a few different methods, affirmations both written and verbal, statements of command, writing a letter to their angel, mental imaging, and the simple act of saying "I Love You." Immediately I started to see results, in fact an issue that had been ongoing for over 2 years, started to improve in less than a week.

The funny thing, is that I always thought that by being the one to take the steps to forgive, that I would be losing. As soon as I started to forgive and release, I actually felt better, like a weight had been lifted. I was losing for the entire time that I was harboring hateful negative thoughts.

Like I said earlier, my financial life was already prospering but as these other neglected areas started to improve, my finances grew even faster and even easier.

While this book does cost $25, it is one of the best investments you can make. Buy it, read it over and over, and immediately put these simple lessons into action. You will start seeing so many amazing results in your life. Remember there is more to being prosperous than just your bank balance.

Choosing Your Friends

Life is full of choices. What to eat, what to wear, where to live, who your friends are. The thing is, a lot of people aren't aware of the friends they are choosing and the people they are surrounding themselves with.

I have a lot of great friends. I also have a lot of people that I love to death but that I have to love from a distance. We email and chat on occasion but for the most part we don't have a lot of contact. Why?

Because I value the quality of my life too much to be around people that are not contributing to my personal growth and development. People that complain about their situation and do nothing about it. People that let their circumstances control them instead of controlling their circumstances.

Over the years, I have had friends that I have had to cut out of my life. I know that I have been very lucky in having such amazing mentors and influences in my life and I enjoy being that to others. When I do have friends that are difficult to be around, I will help point them in the right direction, whether it is recommending a book to read or sharing a personal lesson with them.

What I have found is that the people that really value my friendship will either take my advice or they will refrain from being negative around me. Those that don't are not people that truly deserve my friendship.

I have also found that those that do value my friendship and take my advice, end up improving their own lives profoundly and then they rub off on their own friends. By looking out for your well being and setting an example, you can help better the lives of those you care about.

So remember to choose your friends wisely and don't be afraid to love those that are bringing you down with them, from a distance. You aren't doing anyone any good, by joining the "poor me" club and while misery does love company, so does success!

Prosperity Tips For An Abundant Life

When I started my first business at 19, my mentor gave me a list of personal development books to read. One of the books was "The Richest Man In Babylon" which to this day is still one of my favorite books. It gives simple lessons, in story form about how to become rich on your current income.

The first lesson in the book is to pay yourself first, a part of all you make is yours to keep. It says to take the first 10% of everything you earn and put it in savings to get it earning money for you. I followed this to the letter and it was exciting to see my savings and net worth grow.

But I admit there were times when I would want to do something or buy something, or even when I got into a jam, and still I would not touch it. Then one day on a mastermind call, one of my friends gave me a whole new perspective on paying myself first.

One of our new associates had read an article about creating prosperity and abundance in ones life. In the article it talked about being in flow. It said, and I agree, that when you hoard money and stop the OUT flow of money, you also stop the IN flow.

It recommended that when you are worried about money and pinching pennies, you are putting it in your mind that you will not be receiving more money and so the result is...you guessed it, your money stops coming in. The discussion turned to the lesson of paying yourself first. The new associate asked if saving money would affect your outlook on it. That is where the light bulb went off for me.

I had always put the 10% away off the top and invested it to grow. Even though I have become very rich and make a lot of money, I did not realize that I made things a lot harder on myself. Even though I was putting that money away to grow for my future, I was secretly telling myself that one day the cash flow would stop.

The discussion on this topic went on for almost an hour. What everyone on the line came to realize is the reason you are putting the money away is more important than putting the money away. If you are putting the money away for a rainy day, odds are you will have a rainy day. If however, you are putting the money away for a new car, a downpayment on a home, or something else that excites you and makes you feel prosperous, then by all means, pay yourself first.

The key is to find something that does excite you. What you will see, is that when you are saving toward something you will start putting aside that 10%. You won't feel like you are putting your money aside in case you lose your job, or get a pay cut.

As the excitement grows and you get closer and closer to getting whatever it is that you want, even more money will start flowing in and before you know it, you will be attracting more than enough money and you may not even need to dip into that 10%.

As long as you are paying yourself first for the right reasons, and not because of some catastrophe that might happen down the road (and if you are preparing for it, it will happen), you will find that the return on your money will come from a variety of different avenues, not just from the interest on your money.

We Are In A Recession?

Everywhere I go lately, I hear people talking about the economy. How bad it is, how we are in a recession, how no one can make money. I have to tell you, my income has not been affected at all, in fact it is still going up.

I have people all the time asking me if the economy is affecting my business. The thing is, and once you understand this you will have your finances licked, YOU control your circumstances. Most people let their circumstances determine their life. I hear all the time, "no one is spending money", "it's bad everywhere", "you don't understand my situation."

I do understand it, I talk to people all the time that are at rock bottom, and I make a lot of money teaching people how to create something from nothing. Once you reprogram yourself to understand the only thing keeping you poor is you, you will find that you have more money than you will ever need.

Now some of you may be mad at me for saying this, I have had some heated discussions with people on this topic. Most people tell me the reason my income keeps increasing is because I already make money. Then how do you explain all the new people that get started in my businesses that are making awesome incomes? It is because they not only know about the Law of Attraction, and The Science of Getting Rich, they apply it!

In my newest business, our lowest level product is $1500. When I talk to potential associates, they almost always ask if I have trouble getting people to spend $1500 with the economy the way it is. My answer, no, in fact most people I talk to come in with all 3 products for $25,000 which is a $14,000 profit to me.

They are shocked but the thing is I expect people to get started. I know that I attract people that want a serious change and won't let anything keep them from having everything they want.

If someone had a golden goose that could supply you with all the money you could want, and all you had to do was come up with $1500, would you say, "well, I would love to buy it but I don't have the money." NO! You would do whatever it took to find that money because you know that $1500 will get you millions!

That is the difference between people that blame their situation on the economy, and people that take responsibility for their situation and change it. I see people struggle everyday, and I see people thrive everyday. The difference is in the mind set. When you start using prosperity consciousness you become a magnet to money.

Take action every day to change your mind set and your vibration and before you know it, you will see that you thrive no matter what the economy is doing. Don't buy into the hype, misery loves company but so does success. Choose today to start being the navigator of your circumstances instead of the victim of them.

To get you started on your way to prosperity consciousness, repeat to yourself whenever you start to focus on not having enough, "I am a magnet to money!" I jump around like an idiot when I say it becuase the more excited and happy you are when you say it, the easier your mind will accept it!

Online Advertising With Google and Zango

I have used a lot of different advertising methods; putting out flyers, bandit signs, traffic exchange (which has actualy worked for me), google adwords, zango, classified ads, banners and the list goes on.

At this point in my business, I don't really have a budget anymore in that I make more than enough to spend whatever I want on advertising. I don't because that is not something a new person can duplicate and the key, at least with my businesses, is duplication.

I wanted to post this blog because the methods that I use that work the best for me are bandit signs, traffic exchange, zango, and google adwords (CONTENT NETWORK). The first 2 are no brainers. Zango and Google however can be very expensive with little to no results. That is why I wanted to post the links to the lessons that taught me how to get the most out of these methods.

I Recommend Pleasant

I have had so much going on lately I have not had time to post much. I have 2 trips coming up in July along with my birthday, but I had to post this while it was on my mind.

I love old movies and TCM is one of my favorite channels. The other night, "Harvey" was on. That is the old Jimmy Stuart movie about an invisible 6'3" white rabbit. Really it is about Stuart's character and his approach to life.

Everyone thinks he is crazy but as the movie goes on and people, even doctors, spend time with him, they start to wonder if seeing this rabbit, is really that bad. Stuart seems to have an uplifting and calming affect over everyone he meets and even helps people to realize their dreams and do what makes them happy. He talks about how he is able to affect people's lives in a positive way by introducing them to Harvey.

Every time I see this movie I get goosebumps and this time I finally ordered it for my collection, but there is a quote in the movie that I LOVE!! I wanted to leave you all with it because it is very simple but oh so true.

"In this world, you must be oh-so-smart or oh-so-pleasant. For years I was smart. I recommend pleasant."

While being smart may get you far, being pleasant will open doors that you can't even imagine. There are a lot of things that people take for granted. Some of the things that make the biggest impact and give us the greatest results, go undone because they are so simple to do, that they are simple not to do. So try doing the simple thing and be pleasant. After all....isn't life complicated enough?

Silence & Meditation

Prayer, meditation, silence.

No matter what you choose to call it setting aside time for yourself has been shown to work miracles.

It is a great way to de-stress. It is also an excellent way to balance and ground yourself. People that practice meditation on a regular basis are usually even tempered, healthy, and successful. They put off amazing energy and people seem to gravitate toward them.

This time of quiet or of focused thought, depending on which form you use, will help you find whatever answers you have been looking for, and will assist you in getting in tune with yourself. You will find after you learn to properly meditate, that answers will come to you easier and even when you are not looking for them because you will open up that door between the conscious and subconscious.

In his book, "The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success", Deepak Chopra mentions silence in the first chapter, "The Law of Pure Potentiality". He talks of the fact that we are all able to achieve whatever we want and the fastest way to do this, is to get out of our own way. By taking time every day to just "BE" we let go of our ego and our true being comes out and leads the way.

He speaks of a couple of different methods to reach your higher being. One way is by simply being silent. Not thinking or focusing on anything, removing yourself from speech and just let thoughts flow. Sit out in nature and watch the wildlife. Mr. Chopra recommends 2 hours each day of silence or if that seems too much split it up into one hour sessions.

Another method he recommends is, yup you guessed it, meditation. 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes at night is recommended. I enjoy guided meditation and use the free programs on http://www.learningmeditation.com/room.htm Meditation can be focusing on a specific solution, a specific incident, or just focusing on relaxing your body.

Some people also like to meditate using a mantra. Pick your own, or do a quick search to find some proven ones. I on occasion will use wealth and success. When breathing in I utter the word wealth and when exhaling I use the word success. This has worked for me for many years now.

Try it for 30 days and see what changes you notice. Keep a journal and schedule your meditation. Before each session write down what is on your mind and what you are hoping to achieve through your session. After your session write down how you are now feeling and what if anything changed as a result of taking this time for you.

You will be amazed at the kinds of changes that will take place and how quickly they will come about and I am sure you will find yourself wanting to add daily silence/meditation to your daily activities.

Visualization

I have been a student of personal development since the age of 19 when I first started a home based business. My company at the time would talk about dream boards, aka vision boards, attraction boxes and attraction books. These are really just tools to help us with our visualization. Constantly seeing things we want and things that make us happy raises our energy level and also keeps our goals in front of us.

In the beginning, my biggest problem was that I wanted so many things, that I found it hard to focus on just one. I get a lot of people that ask me how to pick what to focus on first when you have a full list of dreams.

With 9 years of practice under my belt, it is probably a little easier for me to visualize and so now, I basically run a movie in my head that has most if not all the things I currently want in it. For example, waking up with the man of my dreams, taking the dogs out while we feed the horses and livestock on our ranch, then going in and doing a little work.....you get the picture. Basically running through a whole day in movie format, with all the things that I want to attract in that movie.

When I first started with visualization this was next to impossible for me. I would start to focus on something and then my focus would bounce around. So for me, and this is my way do what works for you, in the beginnig I would look at all the things I wanted to obtain or achieve and I would pick the one, that if I got it, would also allow me to accomplish the others. So I would have one major goal that I focused on and the others were more of a measurement of my progress.

In the beginning, I wanted a Dodge Ram, to live with my boyfriend, a ranch, livestock, and a place to work on my baby, a 1970 Dodge Challenger. My first step was to figure out which goal was the one to focus on which in this case, was the ranch. I searched and found the one I wanted and started visualizing living there. Three weeks later, my boyfriend and I moved into our 5 acre ranch in Southern California, which had a shop for me to work on my car, enough space for all the livestock we wanted, and my boyfriend had a Dodge Ram, the exact one I wanted which became mine.

As time has gone on my wants have gotten larger and more elaborate but my focus has gotten better. Like I said in my earlier post, we are now moving into a 13 acre ranch right up the road from where our 5 acres was. This is an aerial view of the ranch. You really can have whatever you want as long as you are willing to do what it takes to attract it to you.

Visualization is amazing because it not only attracts what you want (and don't want) but when you really learn to use it, it can change your entire mood. Remember when you are happy, you attract more positives and when you are unhappy, nothing goes right. When you are feeling overwhelmed or down, just focus on what you want the outcome to be and really experience your "day dream." You'll change your vibration and change your mood.

A couple of last tips to remember. Visualization gets better with practice, so practice often. I visualize a few times throughout the day everyday and now instead of leaving the tv on when I go to sleep I enjoy falling asleep to my own movie. Also, don't worry about how you will get something or the details on how something will happen. Focus on the end result. I did not picture us going house hunting, opening escroe, and getting a loan for the house. I just pictured us happy and living there. The rest will fall into place, just know what you want and visualize like you already have it.

The Value In Being Your Own Boss

Welcome to my blog and I hope you enjoy it!!

This is my first real blog and while my mother will tell you I have a lot to say I would also like to make sure that I can share information that will be helpful to others. If there is a topic you would like me to write about let me know and I will see what I can do.

I currently live in Las Vegas, NV. I have a beautiful home here on the golf course and about 30 minutes from Lake Mead which is perfect for me because I spend most of the summer on my boat. One of the benefits to me in working for myself, is that with my cell phone and laptop, my boat is my summer office.

Imagine taking a run around the lake on the air chair, then spending 20 minutes or so returning calls, and then back on the air chair for another run. What is amazing is the more fun I am having, the more money I make. Why? Because when you are happy you put out that energy and it is infectious.

What do you enjoy doing? Golfing? Boating? Playing with your kids? The beauty of being your own boss is that you can enjoy doing the things that make you happy and that in turn will draw more good things to you. My business allows me a lot of time freedom. I work 15-20 hours a week. The rest of that time is spent with friends and family, golfing, or house hunting which is what I did last week.

As of July, my home in Vegas is going to be my summer/vacation home and I will be moving into my 13 acre ranch in Southern California. The kids (4 dogs) can't wait to run and I am excited to be back near my family. This would not be possible working for someone else.

If you are not living the life you deserve, then when is now a good time to start? There are so many businesses out there ready for you. Just find the one that fits your values and go for it. The home business industry is growing astronomically and while so many of my friends are worried about paying the bills, I am out living life. You can too.

Sit and think about what your perfect business would be and then find it. I have been lucky enough to find mine twice, once in 1999 and again 3 years ago, and both times, I made every excuse in the book NOT to start.

It's too good to be true.
It's too much money to start.
It costs money.
I don't have time.
It is saturated.
People will laugh at me.
And the list goes on.

Thank goodness I got out of my own way because everything has changed. My way of thinking, my quality of life, and most of all my opinion of myself. I have value and purpose again. I try not to be too hard on myself for waiting to get started. Instead I look at it as being able to be an example. People can read my story and maybe it will help them take action now. Remember action equals results.

So decide what you are looking for. Write it down. Then find it, it's out there!
